An email from Rafah

author : Khaled Nasrallah topic : Olympia-Rafah Sister City Project | Palestine | Rachel Corrie | Rafah

[The following email was sent by Khaled Nasrallah from Rafah, Palestine. It was the Nasrallah family's home that Rachel Corrie was protecting when she was killed by an Israeli military bulldozer. The home was destroyed months later, with no rationale provided by the Israeli military.

Khaled Nasrallah visited Olympia in 2005. He and other Palestinians viewed the April 17 Olympia City Council meeting on the Internet.]

Dear all Olympia Rafah Sister City,

It was my pleasure to see all of you on the meeting with the Olympia council regarding to convince them to approve our dream of start the legal form of the ORSCP as a bonus of your great work you did. It was fantastic efforts you all did, and we are in Rafah very proud of you, and sure will all continue struggling in both sides to achieve our dream whom Rachel started it alone, but now thousands of people heard about, even thousand support or participate.

Please do not disappointed, as what happened was great success to reach this level even we fail this time for unknown reasons against the logic and law.

Love and peace from Rafah to all of you,

Khaled
