WHOSE CITY COUNCIL IS THIS?

Are you a member of one of the faith communities who would like to see the City of Olympia commit to be a sanctuary city? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you part of the large group of folks in Olympia who would like to remember Rachel Corrie, a favorite daughter of our community, through a Sister City relationship with Rafah? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a member of any of the groups who were pleased to have an ordinance declaring the City of Olympia to be a nuclear-free zone? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a friend of the homeless, or simply a person who thinks that a person should be able to sit down on the sidewalk downtown if they want to? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a person who enjoys the vibrant night life and the music scene downtown? Do you like to stay up late dancing to live music? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a person who likes downtown Olympia as it is? Who does not want to see gentrification of our diverse downtown community? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a person who really likes the view of Budd Inlet, who wants to be able to walk in the downtown area and see the Sound? Bad news, this is not your City Council.

Are you a person who wants to develop property and build a high rise building to maximize your profits, even if it means that it changes the entire nature of downtown Olympia? Congratulations, this may be your City Council.

Folks, maybe it is time to change this City Council.
