In January 1991, 2000 people gathered at Sylvester Park to demonstrate against the Gulf War. They marched to the capitol steps and demanded to speak with state representatives. When this demand was denied, demonstrators decided to occupy the House Chambers. WIP was there and published this exclusive photo. For 15 years, any time local citizens have engaged in their duty to resist corrupt, oppressive or hegemonic policies, WIP has consistently been the media source most likely to fairly report their concerns and the circumstances leading to their actions.
