A 23-day student sit-in outside of the Evergreen State College (TESC) Vice President?s office concluded Thursday night after five days of negotiations, ending with all of the students? demands being met.
This stands as a significant victory in manifesting student power on The Evergreen State College campus. The students came to table with four demands: the reinstatement of SDS as a registered student organization (RSO) with an acknowledgement of some wrongdoing on the part of the school administration; that no disciplinary procedure be brought . . .

In the days immediately following the destruction of a police cruiser at The Evergreen State College on February 14, 2008 the Evergreen State College released student information to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office in compliance with a February 26, 2008 subpoena for student records.

The Immigration and Border Dialogues Conference took place at Evergreen State College May 15 – 18. Organizers brought together central figures in the struggle to frame border issues in terms of migration patterns and individual rights rather than criminal activity and joined the hard work of border activism with the pleasures of Latino culture.
